Grey is a fabulous shade to integrate into your space. It is classic and can be luxurious, modern and comforting. Choosing grey tones is challenging and unique to each space and each light source.
When choosing grey tones I look for subtle undertones in the color to help determine how I want the room to feel. Blue undertones will feel sleek and modern. Brown or mink undertones can feel soft, lush and very sophisticated. Green hues under a grey shade can be very natural and earthy making a space feel more rustic. The natural light of the room really changes the way the color reads which is why it is crucial to look at the color you choose in the space at all times of the day.
My go to greys are:
Light: Benjamin Moore Sea Salt - CSP 95 (brown undertone)
Medium: Benjamin Moore Barnwood - CSP 115 (brown undertone)
Dark: Benjamin Moore Grey Gardens - CSP 55 (green undertone)
Mixing different shades of grey (cool & warm) can be a really successful way to create a sophisticated color palette throughout your space. Using one consistent grey throughout different rooms of your home in different applications is another great way to create interest and consistency
