As a designer, creativity isn't something that always just happens. It has taken hours, months, years of living life with a certain perspective to really develop my actively creative mind . The more I see, listen, critique and experience the more creative my designs are. This is why things like travel, museums and art are so deep and dear to my heart because they make my work easier. There are days where ideas come to me driving in my car out of the blue, but that isn't without the hours of sketching, dreaming and imagining new designs and space. Those ideas aren't really out of thin air they just sometimes come to you when you least expect them. One of my favorite places for inspiration are patterns. Patterns created by nature, patterns created by old and new civilizations, patterns created by math....I love them all.
Here are some inspiring me on this grey foggy Monday morning in SF.
